INTERNAL PHILANTHROPY

Each semester Chi Delta Alpha holds a philanthropic event to help raise awareness of and fund a local charity.

For Fall 2025, Chi Delta Alpha chose to support the Harding Elementary School for our fall philanthropy. Harding Elementary School is one of the elementary schools in Montgomery County that Chid Delta Alpha volunteers at by supporting students through after-school care, reading and math tutoring, SOL prep, and even stepping in to help with childcare when families are in need. Chi Delta Alpha choose to support this program because we believe in investing in the next generation, and with the money raised, we were able to expand our impact and give even more children the tools they need to succeed. The Internal Philanthropy Co-Chairs, Julia Schools and Camilla Washington, hosted "Double Down on Doing Good," a week centered on organizational bonding and a concert. The week included a trivia night, multiple percentage nights with local businesses in Blacksburg, a bake sale in downtown Blacksburg, and a Battle of the Bands. Chi Delta Alpha sisters and other organizations all had a great time participating in these events and fundraising for Harding Elementary School.

EXTERNAL PHILANTHROPY

Within the Virginia Tech community it is important to Chi Delta Alpha to support other student organizations. To show support we actively take part in several organization's philanthropy events each semester.

In Spring 2025, Chi Delta Alpa, led by External Philanthropy Co-Chairs Julia School and Camilla Washington, participated in German Club's Midwinters Week.
